What is your favorite song to run to? Mine is "Breaking the law" by Judas Priest. Discuss.

"Give Peace a Chance" followed by "A horse with no Name" both performed by a "Tart with a Folk Guitar".

Actually, I never listen to music while running:

"Humans have an almost 180-degree forward-facing horizontal field of view, binocular vision, which is important for depth perception, covers only 120 degrees (horizontally) of the field of vision, the remaining peripheral 60 degrees have no binocular vision".

HEARING IS 360!!

Be Here Now, when you run.

Wow! I can't think of a favorite. Here are 10 of my favorite "dreadmill" mp3's (in no order) since I don't run with music outside.

1. Baba O'Riley - The Who
2. Won't Back Down - Tom Petty
3. Learning To Fly - Pink Floyd
4. Right Now - Van Halen
5. Just Like a Pill - Pink
6. Run Like Hell - Pink Floyd
7. Life is a Highway - Tom Cochrane
8. Solsbury Hill - Peter Gabriel
9. In The End - Linkin Park
10. End of the Line - The Traveling Wilburys

I usually listen to podcasts when I run... always new content and I never have to skip songs or adjust the volume

I don't listen to anything but the world around me when I run but I do get songs stuck in my head. When I get a really bad song stuck in my head (commercial jingles are the WORST) I fight the evil song with Separate Ways by Journey. It works almost every time.

Sometimes you have to give up on your dreams and let them chase you for a while.

I load up the ipod based on a song's beats per minute. Slow songs slow me down. I end up with a pretty good variety, including some songs I wouldn't normally listen to unless I am running.

Here are a few the shuffle gave me on today's run:

Beastie Boys "Sure Shot."
Gin Blossoms "Found Out About You."
Crystal Castles "Not in Love."
Flo Rida "Club Can't Handle Me."
Evanescence "Bring Me to Life."

I find that if Bring Me To Life comes on I can't help but sing it in a terrible falsetto voice. It scares other runners within earshot.
