Amusing article on Greece, NY native Jeff Eggleston. Not only is he likely one of the best, if not the best, marathon runner to come out of WNY but he is also a stand-up guy.
That's just my best guess. Correct me if I am wrong, but I'm guessing there have not been many runners from Buffalo/Rochester/Syracuse who have run 2:12-low.
Let's throw in Todd Reeser and Kevin Collins as well. Two more 2:15ers, both also stand-up guys. It'd be cool to see a list of the top marathoners from WNY (BUF, ROC, CUSE), their PR and "hometown". As far as I know the five guys I mentioned are likely all in the top-5.
