Special Scoring In Effect For The Subaru Buffalo 4 Mile Chase
JULY 17, 2004 -- In an effort to soften the impact of the Subaru's fabulous draw of legions of elite runners who are
not actually participating in the Runner of the Year Series a special rule has been applied to this event only.
The special scoring rule may positively or negatively impact you:
Scoring in the Subaru Buffalo Chase is limited to all those runners who are already participating in the
Runner of the Year series.
Participation is established by simply having finished any previous 2004 Runner of the Year event.
It is not necessary to have scored any points. No other exclusion criteria is applied.
Consequently, if the Subaru Buffalo Chase was your first (or only) Runner of the Year event that you ran in 2004,
you can not score any points at the Subaru Buffalo Chase.
The following runners turned in excellent performances at the Subaru Buffalo Chase and might have scored points but were excluded
because they met the exclusion criterium. 84 runners made this list, 53 men and 31 women. The group includes local runners.
