This is a "salvaged results" event: During the conduct of the 10K trail run many runners went off course. Some ran too far, some too short, some ran the correct distance. Under the Rules, we could: (1) DQ all runners who ran too short, or (2) Void the entire race. Instead, we have examined each runner's recent race performances to project a probable 10K pace, then used that value with the actual finish time to estimate distance run. With this info, we then calculated the standard PWR performance quality for each finish. The results were then ranked by calculated quality. This will not be an accurate represntation of what would have happened in a fair race -- but its probably real close! Please contact me if you have a better idea! -- JJ |
