This Sunday, your guy--The Pope--John Furgele will be "participating" in the Mr. Ed's Super Bowl Warmup 5K. The last time I ran this race was in 1998, which for what it's worth, I won in a time that was either 16:23, 16:30 or 16:35. My record-keeping is shaky these days.
I still have five Mr. Ed's T-shirts from the 1990s; obviously, they're a very good long-sleeve tee.
I also have the windbreaker that says "1998 Champion," that I'll dig up and wear for the occasion.
If you ask for my autograph, I'll sign it '98 Champ," if you'd like.
