So I recently had an interesting (and frustrating) injury. I caught my foot and banged my knee pretty hard. Being as stupid as I am, I tried running on it for about a week, and got to the point where there was some serious pain. I read that you can somehow develop a form of runner's knee from this. I've had mixed results from rest and light biking, although I believe that the biking might be counteractive.
Has anyone had an issue like this? I'm sure people out there have had runner's knee. I've been doing the typical icing after activity and heating at night, along with several IT, hip, quad and hammy strengthening exercises. It seems as though it's getting better, but not much. On the same trail, has anyone used the McDavid Knee straps for the runner's knee?

I had this problem real bad, what worked for me was to place my leg up straight out, supported and stretch pulling the top of my foot in towards my chest. If you get a stretch you can feel it in the knee, should loosen up in about a week or two. |

I would recommend workouts in a pool. This will not cause stress and you should be able to go though a full range on motion comfortably. |
