Because I work every other weekend, I couldn't make it to Buffalo for the Shamrock Run, but I did do a St. Pat's themed run in Binghamton last Saturday. As John McMahon and I have discussed, March is when the running and racing season kicks off and goes through Thanksgiving Day.

Shamrock is the traditional "Lidlifter," and Turkey Trot is the "Super Bowl."

The Binghamton race (4 Miles) reminds me of the old Old First Ward. For those that remember, there was an older OFW building with stairs and a very old wooden floor gym.

And, in 1985 and 1986 when you went to pick up your race packet, you went to a lady's house across the street and picked up your stuff right in her living room.

I have begun season 42. Here is my reflection piece.
