Just a reminder...the race is this Sunday starting at noon.
Registration begins at 10:30. You must have a waiver signed by your parent or coach to run.
Since this is a post season event, you may not wear your school uniform.
The winners this year will not only win the first ever Tom Donnelly Trophy for Runner of the Year but also a gift certificate for Runner's Roost.
Good luck at states and we will see you Sunday!

Here is a link to the letter and the waiver that all runners will need for the day of the race.

Also, for anyone wondering, we are aware that this meet falls the day after the state meet which is why we chose a later start time. Unfortunately this was the only date available this year. Hope to see you all there!

I am glad this has come up.
As a cross country coach, I am curious who chooses these runners and what the criteria are.
Our one newspaper does not publish names of more than one runner in any given 'dual meet', thus, those who may win against another team in a triple dual week after week are never given consideration.
I am not the coach in the NFL who is upset with the lack of coverage of our league. We have some primo runners here. I suppose Niagara and Northern Erie County runners don't matter.
When we convene for our post-season meting, it is often discussed why our athletes don't get better coverage. Possibly these runners of the week can be balanced among all the leagues-so that recognition is given equally among them.
I do appreciate the work Amy and Jerry are doing. This is in no way a criticism of them. I guess am the only coach in our league who 'has any' and wants to know what the deal is!
