Galloway's plan works great. The most important thing is to start your walk breaks right from the start.

Now that you've done 100+ races and are venturing to doing your first marathon - any thoughts on becoming a 50 stater member?

Do a google search for them. There are about a hundred of them on line. Most of them are pretty good and will get you through the race.
