The 105th Annual YMCA Turkey Trot

Wet, snowy and slushy roads greeted the runners at race time. Over 3500 runners ran the event despite the cold temperatures and the lingering effects of record November snow storms just a few days earlier.
Jim Lynch discusses how cold it is after finishing the 8Km race. Jim covered the course in 33:05.
Fortunately, there are plenty of friends, food, and comeraderie at the huge post race party!     Seen here are Dexter Frank, Jim Loesch and Liz Gaughan
Alice Loncto joined in celebrating the last big race of the year
John Ryerson raises a brew after finishing 4th place in his age group. John's time for the 8K was 30:34.
Cindy Galuski finished 8th out of 164 runners in her age group. Cindy's time was 35:53.
Dexter Frank ran a strong race and managed to finish in a very respectable 30:37.
Seen here toting race hardware instead of a beer is Sue Devlin. Sue's 34:57 clocking enabled her to place 1st among all female masters.
Here is Bernie Freedman enjoying a laugh after the 5 mile run down Delaware Avenue.
John Felix finished second in his very competitive age group posting an excellent time of 30:21 over the slushy course.
Former club president Tom Donnelly pretending to fight over a trophy with John Ryerson. In the race, Tom and John finished almost together in 80th and 81st place repsectively. Tom's time was 30:33, good for 3rd place in the age group.

Here are two GBTC club members enjoying a well deserved break after staging another very successful major running event! Dan Loncto serves as the YMCA Turkey Trot's Race Director. Anne Scinta is the Delaware YMCA's Executive Director.
