Chestnut Ridge Challenge 10K

Don't miss it! It's your chance to run a timed, mostly traffic-free, scenic certified 10K that includes the infamous "Big Mother Hill" with many of your best running buds!

Its the BuffaloRunners Chestnut Ridge 10K Challenge, this Sunday, October 29 at 9:00 AM.

This will be the race's 7th year. It's still a real fun no frills small run, put on by runners for runners. Our invaluable race director is Tim McAllister. Timing and scoring provided free by

Web-posted race results.
USATF Sanctioned event.
USATF Certified, record eligible, 10K course.
Run over the paved Park roads -- no trails.

Awards recognition for the top Male, top Female, top Male Master, top Female Master, and top 3 in each of 10-year male and female age groups.
Feel free to bring food and drink to share or consume at the casual post race gathering in the Casino Lodge.

The venue is the big Chestnut Ridge Park Casino Lodge (registration and post race).

Huge fireplace.
Rest room facilities.
Paramedics and ambulance on stand-by.
... so far each year there's even been live musical entertainment mid-course (keep an ear open for that!).

Arrive early: We're using the traditional Park' 10K course (NY09062JG) -- the start is about a half mile away in the "upper loop". We jog to the start for our warm-up. The finish is in front of the Casino Lodge.

SUNDAY -- OCTOBER 29 -- 9:00 AM START -- arrive early
