I am a high school xc runner who has had shin splints basically the entire cross country season. Unfortunately I ran through them and didnt really take any time off. I have now taken a week off and i can walk and run without any pain in my shin, but if i tap my shins in a certain spot there is pretty bad pain there, is there any chance i could have a stress fracture? Please give me your input as soon as possible.

Yes you need a bone scan and orthopedic evaluation.
Preferably one who does sports medicine. Where's
your coach in all of this?
