I can't find any info online, does anyone know if they are having this race this year? I hope so! If not, i wonder why, it's a great race!

I received an app in the mail which has Score-this.com although they don't have any 2013 running events listed on their website. You might contact them directly or on the app was a phone no. 585-798-3283 for more info. It's Sunday, February 3, 2013 5K in Middleport, NY at 11:30 at the Middleport Fire Hall.

I still have my Mr. Ed's windbreaker from being the 1998 Mr. Ed's Champion.....sorry for the self-promotion (self esteem booster). I think I finished second there three or four times in a five year span, so it was nice to win.

I love stories like that JF! Good for you, I can imagine that would be such an exciting and victorious feeling. You deserve a pat on the back. And I really liked Mr Eds race, it's a really unique feeling one to have as your race that is special. I'm a slow pokey, but the feeling when I get a PR is exciting enough for me! :)

I first ran Ed's in 1991, the day the Giants beat the Bills in the Super Bowl. It was always a good way to pass the time before the Super Bowl began. I became the "hard luck" favorite because I kept coming in second. It was actually pretty funny. I probably ran it six or seven times before moving out of the area. I would love to make a return there someday.

Perhaps next year the Bills will finally make it to the playoffs and Superbowl (ha)! That would be a perfect time to run it again - unless that would somehow lend itself to the same Superbowl losing outcome!

My runner-up finishes did ironically mirror the Bills runner-up finishes. When I won in 1998, the Denver Broncos became the first AFC team to win the Big Game since 1983, and of course, snapped their 0-4 record in previous Big Games. That is some weird stuff.
