It was awesome to see a 'local' woman finish so well in the Subaru standings.
The BN noted that Ms. Keiffer is new to the area. Does anyone know the story of this phenom?

You raise some challenging questions!
The time is within the "B" qualifying standard, but was run too far ahead of the Olympics to be used as a qualifier.
So the quick answer is "No", this particular event will not qualify Allie Kieffer for the trials. (But I expect and hope that we'll see her there!)
To qualify to run in the 2020 US Olympic Marathon Trials you must:
(1) Perform the qualifying run within the qualifying time window, which is September 1, 2017 through January 19, 2020. (the qualifying window for 2020 is not open yet).
(2) Meet or beat the standard: Men 2:15:00 for the "A" standard, 2:19:00 for the "B" standard. Women 2:37:00 for the "A" standard, 2:45:00 for the "B" standard.
(3) Run the qualifier in a USATF Sanctioned event
(4) Run the qualifier on a USATF certified Course
For the 2020 Olympiad there are some additional ways to punch your ticket into the US Olympic Marathon Trials:
(A) Overall Champions of the 2018 and 2019 USATF Running Circuit will be considered as having met the “A” standard.
(B) The top six (6) finishers in the 2019 USATF Marathon Championships will be considered as having met the “A” standard.
(C) An athlete is eligible for “automatic qualification” under USATF Rules of Competition Rule 8 if that athlete has accomplished any of the following:
(1) Winner of the 2017 and 2018 USATF Marathon Championships
(2) Earned an individual medal in the 2017 IAAF World Championships Marathon, or 2019 IAAF World Championships Marathon
(3) All members of the 2016 U.S. Olympic Marathon Team
Those are the ways to qualify to run with the best at the US Olympic Marathon trials.

Going back to the topic at hand, I am curious to know whether that indoor marathon time would qualify her for the Olympic Marathon Trials.
I could be wrong, but I thought the qualifying time was 2:45:00.

I didn't know she was hailing from Buffalo now, but Allie Kieffer is real. She's from West Islip, NY and was a star track and Cross Country runner at Wake Forest.
Among her many notable performances:
5 Km 15:52
10 Km 32:09
Half Marathon 1:17
So she's the real deal. Fascinating that she may be here training in Buffalo now. We have no record of her ever having run in a local road race... until now at the 2017 Subaru.
Here's an image from last year. A rarely run indoor marathon surprisingly had a "soft" record. She claimed it!

I can't answer that question, but I also have a Subaru related question: what were the age group prizes this year? Flamingos, capes, or ....?
