Mike Diggins was one of the best human beings I have met in my life. Coaching aside, he was a man of true character who was so proud of his native So Buffalo. I was priviliged to have him as a coach at SJCI and learned so much from him.

I have wanted to start this thread since Mike Diggins passed away last Friday, but I couldn't find the words. Thanks JR. Mike was one of the finest and nicest people I ever met. He was a great coach at Turner and St. Joe's, he was a great mentor of students, athletes and other coaches, he was a great family man, he was the quintessential ambassador for South Buffalo and his alma mater Timon, but I agree, he was an even greater human being than all of those other traits combined. Mike was a great friend and he will be truly missed more than I can adequately describe here. RIP Coach.

I am sad to hear of Mr Diggins passing - he was a true S Buffalo ambassador and a great coach - I have know him since my HS days in the late 70's - he will be missed - A great guy to talk too as well - I remember him always smiling - what did he die from?
