I am new to outdoor running. I used to run on a treadmill, but didn't start outdoor running until earlier this month. I ran in two 5K races this month.
The day after the 2nd 5K race, my shins started hurting. I was told they were shin splints. One leg seems okay now, but the other is still feeling the shin pain. The weird thing is that the pain sometimes is in the front of the shin, and other times it's in the back of the leg (the calf). Also, the pain is usually in the upper shin (close to the knee), but sometimes it's in the middle of the shin. Does this sound like shin splints even though the pain seems to move around?
Thanks! |
